Itinerary
Day 1, 2 – Lima, 2 nights Posada del Inca Miraflores. Bed & BreakfastOn arrival in Lima in the evening, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the Hotel. Next
day enjoy a half-day guided city tour of the Historic Centre of Lima
and the Modern Lima suburbs of Miraflores and San Isidro. Day 3 – Ica, 1 night Hotel Las Dunas. Bed & BreakfastAfter
breakfast, transfer to the bus station for a 3hour ride south to the
city of Ica. Arrival to Las Dunas Hotel and transfer to the local
airport to board a propeller plane to fly over the enigmatic Nazca
lines and enjoy stunning views of the desert. After flying over the
Nazca hieroglyphs, enjoy a city tour of Ica including modern and
traditional districts. Return to the Hotel and overnight.Day 4 – Lima, 1 night Posada del Inca Miraflores. Bed & BreakfastThe
morning begins with a motorboat tour of Ballestas Islands, where you
will observe the birds and marine life of the Paracas National Reserve.
These island caves and arches provide shelter for thousands of
seabirds, sea lions, and occasionally penguins. Transfer to Paracas bus
station for your journey back to Lima.Day 5 – Arequipa, 1 night Posada del Inca Arequipa. Bed & BreakfastMorning
transfer to the airport to connect with LanPeru scheduled service to
Arequipa. On arrival, you are met and transferred to Posada del Inca
Arequipa.In the afternoon you have a city tour of the ‘The White City’ including the Santa Catalina Covent.Day 6 – Colca Canyon, 1 night Colca Lodge. Half BoardYou
will depart early in the morning from Arequipa to the Colca Canyon
following the Yura route, stopping briefly at the Aguada Blanca
National Reservation and the Cañahuas Pampas, where you’ll appreciate
vicunas, alpacas and the fauna flora of the area. Stop for a cold lunch
and then continue your journey to the Colca Lodge, located in the heart
of the canyon. Day 7 – Arequipa, 1 night Posada del Inca Arequipa. Bed & BreakfastEnjoy
a full day excursion to the Colca Canyon, stopping at the Condor’s
Cross viewpoint. Visit the ruins of Collahuas and Coporaque, and the
village of Chivay. After lunch, drive back across the Pampa Canahuas to
Arequipa.Day 8 – Puno, 1 night Posada del Inca Lake Titicaca Puno. Bed & BreakfastThis
morning you have a flight to Juliaca. On your way to Puno, visit the
famous Chullpas of Sillustani, 12 m/40ft high stone cylinder burial
chambers, used by the Aymaras to bury their important leaders. Arrive
at Posada del Inca Lake Titicaca where you have free time to rest and
get acclimatized to the altitude. Day 9 – Puno, 1 night Posada del Inca Lake Titicaca Puno. Half BoardAfter
an early breakfast, you’ll depart on a full day excursion to the
Titicaca Lake. A two-hour motor boat ride along the lake will take you
to the unique floating islands of Uros. Continue to Taquile Island,
inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who have developed efficient and
unique social systems, as well as fine hand weaving techniques, down
through the generations. After lunch at the Town of Taquile, take a
walk through the various hills and archaeological sites of this 6km
long island. Return to Puno in the afternoon.Day 10 – Cuzco, 1 night Posada del Inca Cuzco. Half BoardAfter
breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the bus station for your journey to
Cuzco. You’ll have few stops en route to visit sites of interest
including Andahuaylillas, Pucara and Racchi. Lunch will be served at
midday.On arrival at Cuzco Station, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Day 11 – Cuzco, 1 night Posada del Inca Cuzco. Bed & BreakfastAfter
breakfast, depart on a half-day city tour of Cuzco, former capital of
the Inca empire in Peru. Visit the Korikancha or Temple of the Sun and
the Cathedral, continuing from there to the nearby ruins of
Tambomachay, Puca-Pucara, Kenko and Sacsahuaman Fortress. Afternoon at
leisure. OvernightDay 12 – Sacred Valley, 1 night Posada del Inca Yucay. Half BoardToday’s
excursion takes you to the Urubamba Valley, the Sacred Valley of the
Incas. Enjoy the unique atmosphere during a typical lunch. In the
afternoon, passing through the Towns of Calca and Urubamba, you visit
the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the
entrance to this part of the Valley, and protect it from possible
invasion from the tribes in the Lower jungle.Day 13 – Aguas Calientes, 1 night Inti Inn Hotel. Half BoardTravel
by the “Vistadome” train service to Machu Picchu enjoying snacks and
refreshments on board. A guided visit of the ruins is provided,
followed by lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. Later, you’ll be
transferred to your hotel in Aguas Calientes for a night’s stay.Day 14 – Cuzco, 1 night Posada del Inca Cuzco. Bed & BreakfastTime
to relax at the hotel. In the afternoon, you´ll be transferred to the
train station for your journey back to Cuzco, enjoying snacks on board.
On arrival, you´ll be transferred to your hotel to spend the night.Day 15, 16, 17 – Amazon Rainforest, 3 nights Libertador Tambopata EcoLodge. Full BoardTransfer
to the airport to connect with scheduled flight to Puerto Maldonado. On
arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to the riverport for your boat
journey to the Lodge. It is situated on the banks of the Tambopata
River in the heart of the Tambopata National Reserve.Discover the
Reserve’s wildlife led by experienced naturalist guides on exciting
nature activities including hiking trails, nocturnal walks, river and
lake canoe excursions and tree platforms. Small mammals such us the
giant otters and a variety of monkeys, the elusive black caiman and a
wealth of birdlife are seen frequently. Day 18 – Lima, 1 night Posada del Inca Miraflores. Bed & BreakfastAfter
an early start, you’ll be on your way back to Puerto Maldonado enjoying
memorable views of the sunrise over the river. On arrival, you’ll be
transferred to the airport to connect with scheduled flight to Lima.
Your driver will meet on arrival for transfer to your hotel.Day 19 – DepartureTransfer to the airport to connect with international flight.
